I was thinking (pls dont laugh) a 120+ g with a 29g refugium this way when they r free swimming i can transfer them in the 29 it would be the same water that they spawned in. Any idea on what plants would be good. Its for red terrors so what plants are in thier natural habitat? Thnx for checking this out comments apreciated

I've never kept red terrors, but a lot of cichlids like to dig and uproot plants.
Are the plants for the breeding tank, or the grow out tank?

Hornwort.............Any bushy plant..........But Hornwort and Anarchis is an inexpensive plant that grows easily and bunches up well for the fry to hide in to play and eat...............

The refugium would be the grow out tank, i figure the plants would eat the fish waste and supply something extra for them to munch on. I know refugiums are for salt water but it would have the same effect right? and ive had tons of cichlids and learned quick that plant dont do good with them once they hit 2+ inches. Would a pleco bother small juvies?
