what are the different size of breeder tanks , i know theres a 40 breeder and a 60 breeder. are they any bigger size breeder tanks out there

Breeding can be done in any size tank. Those sizes are called breeders simply because they are more frequently used by breeders than by your average home aquarist.

well duh. doesn't take a genius to figure that one.

breeders are tanks commonly used for breeding because of the less common footprints and these footprints have been known to be very successful for breeding fish. 50 gals are ussally 4'x12", while breeders are 3'x18". i have found in breeding large cichlids. 11"-14" that is all the tank size you need. i found this from breeding them in large tanks- 240ish. and looked at there overall lterritory and area they used for spawning and raiseing fry. the adult won't wonder very far, but fry will go anywhere once they are around 2 weeks old.

well as far as i know the only thing that makes a breeder tank a breeder tank is the 18" width. so by definition a 75 gallon would be a breeder tank too

breeder tanks are long and short. A 20 breeder is as short as a 10g and as long as a 29g

Nor does it take a genius to be sarcastic and unpleasant. Plenty of newbies here just trying to share and learn.
