I am and have been trying to have a a (good) hatching of angelfish. I have a breeding pair, I have been setting up my tank and learning from my mistakes. I have slate in, Plants that are from the native habitat. PH 6.5 -7.0. I think my pair are old enough. She was laying in places where he had trouble fertilizing, but I think I ghave that one licked now. Any suggestions from anyone? Thanks :)

one of my current angel fry :D

good luck in breeding yours!

A: thats a cool picture, but why doens't it look like an angelfish yet.

B: We don't wanna hear about you licking and your male trying to fertilize!

C: I'm just kidding.

good water quality a bunch of juveniles to aquire a pair...and some swords to place the eggs...on and they will breed also a very high temperature...

also they say that if your angels breed then your water quality is great such as ph. no3 no2 and etc etc.....

Make sure you're buying good stock to begin with. Find an Angel breeder to get you started. You'll have lifelong advice, healthy stock, and may meet a new friend along the way to help you.

Amazonian has a great point. Nothing extinguishes a persons patience that has spent years of study just to have 12 people ask published information.

Use dither fish if they eat the fry. If at all posible allow them to become nickle size before you remove them. Fry learn how to raise their young from their parents.

Do weekly waterchanges. Keep it a bare bottom tank and use sponge filters.
