I Was wondering if a tank thats around 33lx14hx20w would be good for breeding angels, I was thinking about getting around 3 tanks to start with and see where it goes from there.

Yeah that would be fine to breed Angels, i've bred them before in a tank 24lx12wx15h

Well I came across this in the little bit of research I've had time to do before work.

The aquarium should ideally be at least 40 cm / 16 inches high, since the Angelfish is a tall fish. An aquarium that is to shallow will stunt their growth.

I'm sure at first this wouldn't matter but ideally I should just go with a tank that has a little more height for the first one so the breeding pair have a tank for life right?

Well that might be true, but my angels had plenty space and were fine in a 2ft tank 15inch high. I never had any problems with them.:naughty:

Well I think I'll start with that tank, then move em into something more appropriate as they get bigger. How much space would a single breeding pair need? and can I put some other smaller fish in with the breeding pair and not have em mess with or affect the breeding pairs "activity's" say something small maybe? I was thinking maybe a 55 for em as they get bigger but now that I think about it that may be some "wasted" space.

Anyways thanks for all the replies so far, Much appreciated.

Ok, my pair of angels were kept with a few black and white mollies and a pleco, (i removed him to another tank when the angels laid because he would eat them) and they were fine.:D
