torquay, devon, !!ENGLAND!!
rite so i was going to be having a trop pond once i build my fish house and thought about breeding arowana, and was looking for some info.
the pond would be 6ftx4ftx4ft so nealy 600g in US and nearly 500 in UK.
i was mainly wandering at what size would they start breeding and how many pairs could i have in that pond 1 or 2?
also i the pond may also be linked to 2 more 4ftx4ftx4ft ponds so nearly 11,000gal overall.

thanks matt

Get 6 or more aros and hope for them to pair up.

or if not arowana what other fish would i be able to breed in the pond to make a small profit?

Breed stingrays they are much easier to breed than aros. You can also tell which one is female and which one is a male.

If you plan to breed asian aros and selling them would not be a good idea. People want a high quality fish with cert that came from a reputable farm. The risk is too high.
