my daughter just got a male to go with her female. question is how long before they breed? they are both almost 2 years old.

a pair might be a little tuff the norm is 2-3 female per male kinda gets the male going also make sure temp is right and have nice place for them to lay there eggs

the temp is good, thanks for the info. if she is pregnant then i will build a deep box on the side of the tank for her to lay eggs. her belly is getting bigger, dont know if she is pregnant yet.....

I have had quite a few over the years and some won't stop breeding. Som of them seem like they won't breed unless you let them brumate though. I had one male that bred everything in sight, but only after a couple months of cool-down...some years I would have to keep him up all winter just to give his ladies a break!
