So a week or two ago i made a post about my mono and orino being weird (and nobody replied to it.. lol). the mono and orino had been guarding this one rock in the corner and not letting anyone near it and they'd just hang out together.

well today, the mono has been cleaning off this one rock all morning.. not interested in food or anything and just guarding the area but instead of the orino by his side, its my kelberi.. the mono will clean the rock and the kelberi is standing guard and flaring and chasing any fish that comes near..

i find this odd and even food hasn't tempted the mono to leave and i literally have to shut the lid of the tank after i drop in pellets because he will fly outta the tank scooping them up..

Hmm. When Argus and her little beau were being flirty with each other pre-spawn, they still ate okay. They were a little slow to the party, but once the other fish were striking they came out and gobbled down food.

Have there been any changes to the circulation in your tank? What about other water parameters?

This happened while I was at work so I asked my gf to take some pics. Heres what she got.
The rock is hollow and a lot went into the rock. I have a tank setup for them now. I'm not expecting anything to hatch and will rehome the catfish. At least I know I can possibly get fry in the future.
