is this a good idea? if so, what do I need to do it? like, the size of tank, what food, etc.

thanks for the help! :)

Its a good idea if u have a nice pair. Usually breeding regular tails is to much a hassle and u end up with babies that u wont get rid of easy. I would get a really nice tail type and/or coloration to breed. Aquabid has some nice choices. Investing will be worth it when u can move the fry easier. for one thing it takes patience o breed them, its not just throw two in a stir, the male wont always take to any female and vise versa. It takes removing the female reintroducing and so on. When they do breed. youhave to remove the babies at a small size and at a small size they are already aggressive to each other so juveniles will have to be split up individually which is the hassl part. u would need a place to put each individual male, the females can live together. A 10g would be fine with a corner sponge filter. hiding spots on one of the tank for the female to hide from the male. im sure if you search on here u can find a full how to guide :)

there not to bad to take care of i myself have breed one bach of crowtails at the monent just moved so well see what happens if you have any question dont beafrad to ask.

if u read up well and ur ready for it go ahead. Its an interesting project most are to lazy to do....like me :D i went deep into learning and talked to top breeder and watched others do it but i could have yet to try lol

thanks guys, this will be alot of help. :D

my friend owns a fish shop and specialises in betta's......he has breed 100's of these little blighters, your probally better of breeding the more desired tails, which would make you more money than the veil tails,,,but it is difficult work and obviously the get a bit beat up if you dont remove them quickly enough

I'll probably wait, I doubt they'd even fit in 4 gallons anyways. :D
