Breeding Blue Acaras

I was reading that blue acaras are very easy to breed. What is the truth or non truth in this statement? and just minor getting going details, mouth brooder? egg layer? breed in caves? i dunno any information to get me started on breeding them.

They are related to the green terror.So that means they are a little rough on each other.Give them a good sized tank to breed them in.They will beat up other fish in the tank during spawning.

buy a 100g or larger tank, then buy like 6-10 of whatever cichlid you wish to breed, eventually a pair will prolly form, whereupon you can get rid of the others

usually they are like convicts any good male and female will beed egg layers good parents can keep a pair in a 20 gal long if they get along ok just it is to small to raise the fry there as well good food and good water changes and your all set you should be able to sex them at about 2''
