Discus are new to me but I am not new to the hobby. My intention was not to breed discus but I have a pair of blue diamonds that laid eggs. It's water change time but I was wondering what the discus breeders do when their discus have laid eggs? Should I change the water or leave it until the fry hatch if they even hatch. It's been a couple days and the discus are guarding the eggs and not eating them so that is a good sign I guess?

Change it as you would normally. You'll get better answers to your discus questions on the Simply Discus forum too.

Thanks, changed the light today to LED and the discus didn't like that and ate the eggs. LOL

Happens all the time. They look like a young pair, might take them a few times before they get it right. I'd keep them in the display tank and let them try a few more times and get the hang of it. Set up a breeder tank for them down the road if you want to have better success.
