Read the info given in the pleco forum. Water parameters don't matter so much for the ones you are after, but like most plecos soft slightly acidic water is best, but they've spawned in hard slightly alkaline water so...
Use the search button, there is soooo much info on this site regarding of breeding Ancistrus

Males have a pink 'blush' on thier heads when viewed from above. Females also have very little or no bristles and can appear 'fat' from looking underneath when full of eggs.

have several caves for males to choose from, and hiding places for the females as well. be prepared to set up a small hospital/isolation tank if necessary. most plecs do okay with breeding, but sometimes females can get beat up and need some time to recover. try to stock with trios - 2 females per male - so that a single female does not get exhausted with courting and egg production.

What?

Some species the females can get some quite good growth, but it is only around the edge of the head, not all over the face. Females are "rounder" in general, not just when gravid....
