breeding captive crappie?

Has anyone had crappie breed in their aquarium? What would you say is the smallest aquarium they can be in to spawn? What triggers them to spawn?

I'm not going to attempt this anytime soon nor do I think it would be easy, but I just thought I would ask.

I've never heard of it being done but I'm sure it's possible as it is with most Centrarchids. Probably an increase in temp and daylight would trigger it.

Good luck to get them breed in aquariums because they don't always spawning every year and they are very fussy with water conditions to set them in mood for spawning.

In what terms? pH, temp, hardness?
