breeding caribas

just wondering if anyone knows a what size caribas will start breeding
i have 3 4" caribas in a 25 gallon 2 of them chase off the third 2 days ago
i noticed the gravel was all dig out of one corner so i went to fix it and the pair went after my hand (there were 40 feeders so i know they weren't hungry)they also won't leave that corner of the tank and they only seem to get agresive when anything goes there i also noticed they tore apart all the live plants i have breed rbp before and the caribas are acting the same way but the reds were at least 8-10"

i agree they need a bigger tank, but that does sound interesting

There has been documentation of captive caribe being breed.

from what you say it appears they are pairing off just as cichlids do,
get them a monster tank, and also seperate the odd one or it may get beaten
