Breeding cats?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well that's interesting Zoohouse! Any signs of eggs even? Do you do anything special to encourage the spawning? How many bumblebee do you have? And what size are they? Sorry for all the questions...

I have Syndontis peticola and have bred them, they are very nice fish and the bigger the group the more they will intertact together. I would have suggested them but you said "predator". Look into the phylomenis (spelling?) if you want a mini Tang predator. I just thought of another cool fish from SA, Pimelodus ornatus, grow to nearly a foot and are a schooling predator. Good luck and keep us posted.

Cheers,
Ken.

I do love the peticola's! They are one of the first cats I saw at the local lfs when I first got into the hobby...I was quite ignorant/un- educated in those days so when I got them they "didn't quite work out" with the "assortment" of other fish I was keeping.

But...now that I have all of you wonderful people at my back! A "Tang Tank" is what I think I need! What are my options for cichlids? Might sound kinda weird but I like blue fish! My primary project are my EBJD's!
