This is my first round of breeding Cherry Red Shrimp, I have just taken them out of my big planted tank put them in my 12 gallon nano cube by themselfs ,There is aprox 25 or so and about 8 females with nice yellow sadels appearing,My ph is around 7.2-7.4 and temp is 78-80'f,I didnt really fed them in the other tank they just scavaged, but now they are buy them self I have been feeding them Hikari Algae Wafers but thinking about buying the Hikarii Shrimp Pellets,I have subrate and about 6 different types of plant and of course java moss,With the nano and its filtation I had to put a piece of pantyhose over the screen to prevent the opps,I have small pieces off diftwood with ricca and moss attached, and a few small rocks, If anyone has any tip it would be greatly helpful Thanks

I agree that time is pretty much all you need... especially since you already mentioned you were planning on getting some Shrimp Food, which should have the extra calcium they need...

just wait. The hardest thing about breeding shrimp is cleaning the tank without vaccuming up the youngsters.

So long as they look healthy and you don't have predators in the same tank you should start seeing berried shrimp and babies soon.

SO true, there was a peroid that I had no babies in my RCS tank.
I thought it was a water problem, turned out it was that I had three
dragon flie nymphs in my tank EATING THEM!!!!

They are one ugly bug!!!
And they hide very well also!
