I guess I should of told that to my pair I had 12 years ago... The 1/4-1/2" fry ate quite a few of the new fry before I noticed and bought a divider for my 55 gallon.ballinouttacntrol;4433800; said:The parents will eat the next batch so they can get it on again, not the fry.

I was selling them for store credit at the time, and in order for me to get $2.50 a piece they had to be 3/4". The first 2 batches I got $400 worth of credit for, by the time I got to the third batch the LFS said they don't need anymore;( so I sold the pair.ballinouttacntrol;4433819; said:I use to dump all my fry into the same tank and would have different generation of fry grow to a decent feeder size but if i left the fry in the parents tank they wouldn't breed again or would eat the fry and then lay eggs. I just chalked it up to survival of the fittest and the weak dying off.
I guess it would make sense for them to eat them if there's a big enough size difference as most fish will eat any other fish they can fit in their mouth.

I have been thinking of getting another pair for feeders though. My NGT and Juruense cat would love some wigglers...
