What the guys are trying to explaine is it's often more diffacult not to breed convects. If you provide these fish with a cycled tank clean water and good food, nature will take it's course. Provide them with a flat stone or piece of slate to lay their egg on is about all you need, even then they may pick their own site for this. Use an aged sponge filter in the tank so the fry don't get sucked into the intake of an HOB, canister etc. They are great fish to get into breeding with. Once they lay their eggs they will guard them in about 72 hours the eggs will hatch and the wigglers will be moved to a hiding place and you may not see them for about 5 days. Once the fry go free swimming the parents will guard the swarm of fry. Feed the fry baby brine shrimp, decapsulated brine shrimp eggs or any other food small enough for them to eat. Later as they grow you could add dapnia, crushed flakes, golden pearls etc. Otherwise it's pretty straight foward. Let the parents raise the fry so they get used to it sometimes it take new parents a couple of trys to get it right but convects are usually pretty good at it right away. GL.
