im about to buy 4 to 6 emerald cory cats. any good breeding tips for them? about how long does it take for them to be mature enough to breed?
thanks

6 is a very good number to breed these fish as they breed in groups, feed them plenty of live food and food with loads of protein in it, few cold water changes.

Sorry but i dont know how long it will take them to be mature enough to breed, but if they are a decent size and they don't look like juveniles you should just put them in a seperate tank by their own and strat the breeding methods.
Hope it helps.

I know your supposed to have 2 males to a female, that what I read anyway. They do Better in groups. When one trio breeds, it sets off the rest of them. They lay eggs on glass, or tubes, or whatever. Jackson's right, you need to cool down the water with either cool water changes or Ice cubes to simulate rainfall. When they do there thing, take the adults out, they'll eat on the eggs.

i have another question. my friend told me that from his experience with cory cats, bronze cory cats are the easiest to breed. is this true? if not, what is the easiest type of cory cat to breed?

Would Raising the ph in my tank kill my albino cory's? I would like to get some fronts. in my 125. I have a ph of around 7.5 now. thx
