they will put the eggs wherever they want.. my Corydoras paleatus (peppered cory) have been breeding since lastnight (FIRST SPAWN WOOHOOOO!!)... there are eggs stuck to everything incliding the snails....
i got distracted by the breeding going on in my own tank...
anywho...
corydora like - having the waterlevel in the tank droped low for a while (20 minutes - an hour whatever yer filtration can do or however long the rest of yer tank can deal with a low water level) and which then means a BIG water change with slightly cooler water than normal (just a few degrees cooler than normal)...
this simulated rain and changes the pressure in the tank (little water in the tank to a full tank is obviously going to change the water pressure in the bottom of the tank)
flatrocks and such make it easyer to collect the eggs but IMO i dont think the corys care and will smear eggs wherever they want..
corydora WILL EAT their own eggs... as will whatever other fish happen to enjoy snacks... i know there are several threads about how to collect the eggs and what to do with them so do some searching...
get a group like 5 or so and when they are sexually mature and you want them to start breeding put a few icecubes in the tank to cool the water and simulate the effect of a rainstorm. they supposedly breed during storms in the wild. that's how i learned to do it anyways. hope this helps
