breeding crazy

my brother is soo poo. he feeds his fish soo much and piles his tank up with rocks n all sorts. its a 6ft tank and one canister with a power filter. it looks so bad when a fish stirrs the bottom up. the funny thing is we have pregnant peacocks, pregnant zebras, pregnant red jewls and pregnant melechromis johanni. its nuts. no room to put them any where. the two breeding tanks have baby zebras and the pregnant peackock. its nuts. dont understand how his fish breed and mine dont when i should have better water as i do water changes and he dosent

That is crazy... but he has a gift i quess.they must be happy anyway but i don't know for how long..

I don't know much about fish names but what I found out is that african cichlids perfer to be overcrowded. As we all know they can be aggressive and during a chase in an overcrowded tank the chances for survival of fish is higher then not overcrowded tanks due to the fact the the target fish in the chase will get lost in the crowd whereas in not overcrowded tank it is easier to pick on certain fish and keep up with the target in the chase which sometimes leads to death.

try to be wary or guppys - they will fill up that tank in
4 seconds - fill up every tiny corner
the look quite nice if they are mixed colours
breed like crazy though
