do ppl breed cresteds back to family ever, I know damn well they do it with beards and leos, especially corns and such, but is it real bad to do it with cresteds once?
I've never tried breeding back any of my reptiles with their parents but I was considering doing that with my my het for Bell Albino Leopard Geckos so I could get a few albino offspring.
I don't personally but it may be okay to do it once with an offspring but to do multiple in breeding may cause an issue down the line from the same genetics it may develop a kink in the genes.
I'm pretty sure it's done in every herp breeding project...just not talked about or advertised ever. Unless you have the massive resources to have 8-9 breeding pairs...then eventually you may find yourself in a situation where you may take the chance by breeding a 100% pinstriped Dad with his 100% pinstriped daughter to try and produce a clutch of possible 100% pinstripe babies.......do it enough and you will get some bad genetics. Can't remember what Leos it is that everyone has issues with cause they say they have higher rates of disorders...
