I plan on attempting what Mark Duffill/Mad Duff of Loaches Online did to spawn his dwarf chain loaches when I get mine: https://www.loaches.com/articles/yasuhikotakia-sidthimunki-spawning-success
But I'm worried that the fry may be eaten by the green neon/cardinal tetras already in the tank (they eat mere flakes like piranhas, so I have a hard time seeing them pass up the chance to eat baby chain loaches). What are the thoughts among the seasoned breeders on whethr or not the presence of the green neons/cardinals would make raising the baby loaches unfeasible?
Any advice is much appreciated as this is my first time attempting to breed an egglayer.

In most cases, species tanks are best for breeding.

I keep sids and have for about 19 years. I have them in community tanks so there is no chance if they spawn any fry would survive. I would suggest you will get the best results feeinf live foods. The next best choices after that are Repashy or Frozen.

Good luck. I would love to try to spawn mine but I am out of space for tanks and jave been so for some time/.

I'm finally back after quite a while. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to really do this, as I have nowhere to isolate the loaches to keep the fry safe. As you say, community tanks means no chance of fry.

Thanks anyway.
