I have a 30 gal tank and i'm in the process of cycling it. My filter has been cycling for about a month and a half and my actual tank has been cycling for about a month. I had my filter on my father-in-laws tank before I set mine up. I have two sunburst platys in my tank to help the cycling process, along with a female DP. I have been religiously testing my tank everyday or so and everything has been really stable. I have been also changing my water every 3-5 days. My pH is 7.5. NO2 and NO3 are both zero. I really can't wait to get rid of my platys and get some more DP and start breeding them. What would be the right conditions for breeding DP?:goldfish:

Dwarf Puffers are brackish. A gravity range of 1.015-1.018 should be ideal. Do you really want a .5" fish in a 30G? LOl, might need a microscope.

Dwarf puffers (Carinotetraodon travancoricus) are freshwater puffers. You can probably put quite a few in that 30g tank. I've got 3 living happily in a heavily decorated 10g tank.

I don't know about spawning conditions though.

Sent you a pm!

I have done my research and I find them to be very interesting. They aren't brackish anyways. Thanks tho :)

Sorry saying brackish, I just assumed they were. In a 30G you could possibly have a few breeding pairs, prviding that you 'section' off your tank using decor.
