breeding electric blues

hey all i have a male and a female in a comunity tank how should i encourage breeding? Or should i take the pair out and put them in a seperate together?

I would get a few more females, and put them in their own tank

Do you have another tank you could put them in? How big?

i have another tank thats up and running but its small prob around 40-50litres

what will the other females do will that horn them up a bit

The male won't beat up on the females so much, and he has choice to which on he breeds with. I don't know how big that is in US gal. But a 75g would be a good tank for them, and maybe, maybe a 55g. What other fish are they in with? How big is that tank?

The tank there in now is a 5' by 2' by 2' roughly and there is angels electric yellows silver sharks frontosas some blue things that i dunno what there called clown loaches and a few other cat fish

We are talking about Afican cichlids and not Jack Dempseys,correct?

There are several "electric blue" fish. Everyone that posted thought you were talking about electric blue jack dempseys, a completely different fish.
