looking to possibly breed feeder worms for my fish. i get tired of driving to the lfs to buy just 1 ounce of worms for half to die within a a short time. anyone got any tips... or is it even worth trying to do? all in all i would like to be able to sustain my aquarium on my own.

Earth worms or what type?? They are not hard as night crawlers, just feed well

I wasn't sure which kinds of worms the poster was referring to but if he/she is considering any of the smaller species of worms I would suggest looking into the frozen types. You won't have to worry about half of them dying,as they are all already dead lol,and its just a lot less hassle.

If you're looking at something like red wigglers set up a vermicompost box, recycle kitchen scraps and they do the rest.
