Breeding FH

I was wondering if theses FH are preparing to breed or are they fighting. I have had these 2 divided for a while I just recently brought them together after they started clearing area on both sides to when to me looked like a place to lay eggs. Soon as I brought them together they immediately lip locked.

there displaying is not as aggressive now the pair are chasing each other around in tight circles kinda like a dog chasing its tail

ok thats what i thought.i left them together for a few hours i had to separate again my female was messing my male up

Yeah, I know a few people who just use the divider trick to breed flowerhorns. Works pretty well

So what's the best way to ho about breeding them and keeping them from beating each other up

Most people use a egg crate as a divider and put a slate beside the divider so the male could fertilize it from his side of the tank. Some people take out the divider after a few weeks, flowerhorns are nasty when it comes to breeding so your gonna have to monitor them quite a bit
