Breeding Firemouth Aggression, is my EBJD in danger?

I recently bought a pair of FM and a EBJD from a guy on craigslist. I figured they'd be fine together since they were in the same tank before, but the male FM is bullying the EBJD like crazy.

He doesn't seem to have hurt him yet, and its been about a week, but the EBJD is very skittish and usually hides, while the FM shows up every couple minutes to scare him some more. I think the female just laid eggs in a clay pot, what should I do? Will the EBJD get hurt? He's about 4" and the male FM is about 6" Also, my tank is 135 gallons.

Put a divider in there or take either the dempsey or the firemouth out. This behavior will not cease until the one that is being bullied dies or gets ick. Not worth it in my book.

If I put a divider in, then take it out when the JD is bigger, would that work? Also, I was still planning on getting a few more fish, like a severum and a ghost knife. When and how would be a good way to do that?
