hey,, i got 2 of these guys a few days ago... There are around 3" and they are male and female... was wondering if they breed is there any chance fry might survive.. or survive till they are free swimming so i can transfer them to another tank. also iv heard they can be quite agressive when breeding.... wud my fish be ok... its a 800L tank so they have space

Id say the Bichir, rope fish and fire Eel would try eat fry.. do u think they could defend them?

ahh its all good! yeah id say the one you described is a Female...!

hmm ok seems fry are safe enough until theit free swimming, Ill try remove em!

Good luck. Maybe before they pair you should see if you can put them in a 20g or 30g. In my experience these guys barely ever swim, so it should be large enough? Maybe...

unfortunately with these guys, i've seen guys with girl characteristics and females that looked like males. They just aren't sexually dimorphic enough to sex just by looks.
