breeding firemouth in a 10

well i have a few 2-3 inch firemouths and a 10 gallon i finished setting up i'm tired of buying 3-4 dozen goldfish and treating them for a month so i was woundering while there small could i throw them in the ten to breed and get some fry and then put them back in there normal tank

whats the best way to breed fire mouths i've never breed them befor how many could i put in there and have it work could i put like 4 or 6 in there

I've found with my FMs they are as aggressive and territorial as convicts when breeding. I don't think you could do more then one pair in a ten gallon. To do two pair you would probably need a 4 foot tank.

okay i was thinking i could put a few in there and when two breed id move the others out
