So I just bought a red dragon female flowerhorn...least I hope lol. I want to eventually breed her with my male red dragon. I've noticed that the eyes on the female aren't red like my male and I thought I read that red eyes mean fertile? Is this true? Any help would be nice :) thanks

She should. Usually with flowerhorns it's the male that could be sterile. Just let them get used to one another and wait till her tube drops to try to remove divider.

So watch for the tube. Anything else I should know? I've seen people put clay pots down too...what size is usually recommended?

Males can take up to two years if they're kamfas to be mature. Females are usually okay.

All I know is my female ZZ breeds at 1.5" lol
