Hey Guys,

Im going to be very open, I have a 3ft tank with a baby FH, clown loach, and 2 jewel sicklets... and YES i will upgrade to a bigger tank in a few months once the FH is a bit bigger.

I love fish, its so awesome... and im kinda having some financial trouble and was wondering what I could breed to get some money?

I am thinking of buying a 2 ft tank... just for TWO PAIRS, thats all, nothing else, two pairs... but my question is...two pairs of what would get me a nice steady revenue at least to maintain my other fish?

Please help... im in Australia btw

Usually a flowerhorn will kill everything in sight, or at least try, but you seem to be lucky enough to obtain one that doesn't.

If your 3ft tank is at least 16" high you could breed some angels. They are very easy to breed and will make you a descent amount of hobby cash, not business cash, just hobby cash. Depending on how well you take care of the fry you could have up to 200 fry and that means $200 dollars if sold as juvies, maybe a month old. If you want to grow them out you will need another bigger tank. Now consider the bigger tank as an investment. If you are good at taking care of the fry and you grow them out for another month, you will get $400 dollar out of that one batch, but before you even consider investing, make sure you have customers, like LFSs, lined up so that you don't get stuck with 200 fry.

You are right, and yes my FH was young and the thing is i INTRODUCED ALL my fish on the same day.. i spent literally $200 on fish that ONE day.

I figured if they are released in the tank same day, they might get uesd to each other...the FH did kill a molly i had in my tank tho as a test fish. He/She takes a bite or chases my jewel sickelets from time to time, but leaves the others alone most of the time..he gets a bit aggressive when food is given, but thats natural.

However, i dont want to breed anything in my 3ft..thats just for my baby fish, i want to breed in a 2ft tank.... so angels?
