ok i have a pair of geophagus surinamensis..lately alot of flaring, lip locking, circling and clearing out nests by picking up the sand and spitting it out away from the nest to the bare glass bottom..they made roughly 10 nests in the past week..but the thing is they arent ever laying eggs..any advice or tips on what to do or the reason y they arent producing eggs..

Sometimes it takes a little push, or "induce spawning" as some ppl put it. Try some large and frequent water changes. Storms help too (low pressure), but a bit hard to control.

Those are usually signs that they are going to spawn soon. Try doing a nice big water change, with SLIGHTLY cooler water. Feeding frozen or live foods also may help. Try some earthworms if you have them.
