I am about to start trying to breed some ghost shrimp for my fish. Anyone Give me some Pointers about breeding these things? How long do they take to make eggs? How big of a tank should i have? Wat type of water?

you can breed them but they are kind of slow to reproduce in my experience. you could try cherry shrimp they produce lots more ofspring than ghost shrimp. as far as tank size, the bigger the better. a 10 gal for example will maybe produce enough shrimp for a few as a treat maybe every other week-ish once it is set up and running at full capacity. also footprint is more important than gallons for shrimp so large and shallow is a good thing.

you can also slightly increase the number of shrimp housed in a tank if you have "floating" plants(guppy grass, anacharis

, hornwort etc.) and mosses. These take up nitrates and provided a place for the shrimp to hide/hang out.

I would also suggest using a sponge filter so that no baby shrimp will be sucked up by any powerfilters or at least throw a sponge over the power filter intake

I have a few ghost shrimp. One male and two females. They breed quite regularly, however, the eggs never last long. So, unless I have baby shrimp hiding someplace I'm assuming they can't survive long in fresh water.
If you really want to breed them I would recommend experimenting with brackish water and see what happens.
