I'm planning to breed fancy guppies during the summer :naughty:

At the moment, I have 2 10 gallon tanks.
If I'm correct, tell me if I am not, I have one 10 gallon that is going to have the parents. The other will be set up for when the famale get's pregnant(?). I read up that once the female gets pregnant, you need to move her away from the males.

So if I have a pregnant female in one tank, and the males in the other, after a month the female will give birth. Since I want the babies to NOT be eaten, do I move her right back with the males?

Thanks :D

I would. I haven't, didn't have to room for another tank at the time. When you see the females plump and gravid move them. Also get some plants(plastic or otherwise) so the fry can escape the females. When the females are no longer gravid put them back with the males.

Oh OK, Thanks :)
