is it possible? i am going to buy a trio (1 male, 2 females)and was wondering if by any chance it would be possible to breed them? i have not got them yet but i would like to do some research on breeding them if it is remotely feasible..

Yes - I've bred both mouthbrooders and substrate spawners. Mine are friskiest after cooling down to the 60s for the winter...and then starting to warm up.

Describe the tank they're going into...

well first, which tank do you think would be better? my 55? or a 33 planted? temporary until they get bigger, but for now what would be better?

the 55 has black substrate and multiple caves, but im gunna re-arrange the tank before i get them that way its a little better suited. and a large piece of driftwood.

the 33 has natural colored rocks with live plants in it, the whole set-up. but not really any caves, so im gunna re-arrange that tank as well, but i read they like flat rocks and live plants so im kind of leaning towards the 33 gallon.
