I'm pretty sureI have one male and one female, what should I do or an do to help them to become partners and breed? I'm not experienced or have had any fish breed in the past. I just want some advice or some opinions on what to do or if I can do anything to help.
The male is about 17 inches
The female is about 12-13 inches

Thanks

Make sure you have good water parameters. Once you have that, feed them high quality foods. I feed mine a staple of massivoire and then will feed them frozen spearing, tilapia, salmon and will give them live shiners once and a while as a treat. Once I start to see some courtship behavior, I do 25-30% water changes for 2-3 days in a row and then on the 4th day I will do a 40% change or so with slightly cooler water. Typically I would have eggs the next day. Once they are laid, they hatch in about 60 hours and the fry will be free swimming in 2 days or so and that's when u will need LOTS of baby brine shrimp. Once they start laying, they will spawn about once a month. Good luck.
