Hi guys, I have a pair of flower horn, well I introduces the male about a months ago. After about a week the females egg tube was out, I was like " sweet all is well!" But the female got stuck In a rock thingy ( that immediately was removed) and after I got her out her egg tube was receded. Now after a couple of weeks her egg tube still hasn't popped! Is as ok, will she lay again? She is healed from her wounds and eating and interacting wth the male fine. Advice is welcomed thank you

Cool water changes dropping temps to 73 degrees, then set heater to 84 and allow the water to heat up...do this every couple days until they start the spawning stage again. I never use caves for breeding, only flat rocks. Good females usually spawn about every 20-25 days when conditions are good. Also, storms and rain seem to stimulate the females into spawning. All you are trying to do is re-create their natural breeding situation. They breed during the rainy season, so rain cools the water, the sun heats it up in between, then it rains again...barometric pressure and cooler water temps stimulate the female.

Caution.....sudden changes in temp may lead to ich. Separate them for a few days then reintroduce them & let nature take its course.
