Breeding Heros rotkeil x Heros efasciatus

When i woke up this morning and viewed my tank, i was surprised!
My male Heros efasciatus and female Heros rotkeil were pairing and cleaning a stone. Then bout 1 hour later...the female begun laying her eggs. I hope...the eggs will hatch soon!!! Hope...they won't eat the eggs.....

i never ended up raising any fry, never was set up for it. the other fish in the tank got to them first

My first pair of severums ended up being a efasciatus male and an appendiculatus female. Fry grew like hell.

It's just an American expression.Just means they grew/grow very fast.
