So I can the eggs to hatch but the parents won't care for the fry and eat them. If i take the fertilized eggs away from the parents how can I raise them myself?

do both parents eat the fry or just one?if it is just one then remove the fry eater there are some ways to rear fry without the parents but i prefer to let atleast one of the parents raise them if posible

both

well I don't have any experiences in keeping discus but in most cichlids it takes several spawns to make a good care taking parents.1st 2nd and sometimes more they may eat their own fry.But You don't have to worry about it,for sure and certain they become good parents later.

They eat fry when they are freeswimming or the wigglers?I don't think they don't eat those wigglers. As soon as possible remove freeswimming fry next time into seperate grow out tank.

Could it be from Stress? I've heard that parents sometimes eat there babies because of stress.

Discus fry are different than most fish. In order to survive they have to have one parent or the other to attach to. The fry attach to the slime coat of the parent and feed off of it until they are able to eat other things. Without at least one parent your odds of raising the fry are almost 0 if not completely 0.

if they are new at it give them time also try keeping a small light on 24 7 it helps alot some people have good success with using powdered bakers egg yolk to feed fry until they can take micro worms or bbs if the parents wont raise them

yeah, i read discus feed off the sides of the parents, my pairs were raising them just fine but all of a sudden they start eating the fry

it does sound like they are getting spooked keep a light on all the time and dont disturb them to much
