So I have a pair of jaguar cichlids, I hope the will breed by end of summer they're alone in a 200 gallon tank, if and when they breed what should I do with the fry? Leave them with the parents till I can give them away or move them to my empty 50 gal to grow up in, if I sell them what are they worth? 2bucks? How many fry do they have

They COULD eat the fry, So if yourr keeping them all together, make sure theyre well fed!

When the eggs hatch, siphone most of the fry into the spare 50g......Leave a dozen for the pair to practice their parental skills with each other.........The fry in the 50g, raise them on baby brine shrimp for the first month...........Feed them 3-4 times a day.....The fry will GROW QUICKLY...If there are fry with the pair in the second to thrid week still, then siphon them out...........Having fry in the third week swimming about the nest is a good sign you have compatable pair...........Removing all the fry will most likely enduce them to spawn another clutch...........Pairs can have up to 2000 eggs in one spawn..........

On average how many do u expect to lose when getting new fry? My bro n law says around 50%

How did you select your breeding pair? Did you buy them when they were paired? I am thinking about buying a pair and breeding. Would you recommend it?
