Breeding Jags

This is our first go with breeding the jags but at the mo we have week old fry and all is going well, mum and dad are great parents at the mo, and the bubs are so cute. We have guessed in the hundreds at the minuet but I have read we should be lucky to have a handful left to mature, so we will see how it goes. I have heaps of pics up on my blog of them at about 1 week from when the eggs were laid to now, but will keep up with updates.
If there is any one out there with info to help us along or tips for keeping as many bubs as poss alive it would be well taken cause like I say us and the fish are both new to this so Im sure there will be some bumps in the road.

Congrats, my pair laid eggs last week (they're second time) and just noticed today the babies are swimming around.

arent they just soooooo cute, ours are even top swimming now they are just so cocky they think they are big like their mum and dad but super fun to watch, they are getting their own tank soon, I am determined to have as many make it as poss, so any tips are fully welcome!!

QUESTION ARE THERE ANY WAYS TO DEFFERENTIATE MALE AND FEMALE JAGS?

yes there is differences in their patterns, the male has alot of small spots on his sides and the female has larger blotches on hers, my two have the same large blotches but our boy has small ones in the light gaps, I will try to put up a pic of our side on and mark the girl and the boy and see if that helps you at all
