sounds like a plan! best of luck to you. i took an aqua culture class last semester. my professor as been wanting to convert one of his tilapia breeding ponds (3500gal) into something that could possibly breed jardini's. we messed around with the idea, but i havn't been in touch with him this summer. i'd really like to get my jardi to reproduce, but i lack the space/funds. i believe water movement was a key factor in spawning though. they are mouthbrooders, males have longer anal fins and are distinguishable by their jaws while females are more robust, they with an spawn/incubaition peroid of around 7-8 weeks, ph slightly acidic to neutral. not sure about breeding size, i'm thinking they have to be atleast from what i hear, it's very similiar to the asian aro. anyways, hope this info helps, hope things work out for you.
