Breeding jewel cichlids?

basically ensure that you have a male and a female...I've seen people breed these like they do with convicts

pretty easy to breed, just add water. Great looking fish too. My 8 year old son breeds 'em.

they re right soft water makes colors better, but these guys breed real easy

i found mine bred readilly after cutting out pellet food and exclusivelly feeding frozen brineshrimp and bloodworm. obviously water quaility and suitable breeding habitat, caves etc, are required too.

Very easy to breed. I had a 30 g with 2 jewels and they bred very often just like convicts as someone mentioned.
