My pair of kribensis just had fry for the first time, seems to be about 50-80 in the tank with them. They are in a 20 gallon long by themselves. The kribs seem to be keeping a close eye on there fry and doing a very good job at parenting. Ive read that at some point you should remove the parents to let the fry finish growing. I dont have anywhere to move the parents or fry and dont have space or money to set up another tank. I have a 29 gallon community and a 90 gallon oscar/green terror tank also. Im concerned that if i put the parents in the 29 they will be to agressive and in the 90 that they will get eaten. Can i leave the parents in with them til im ready to get rid of them or does anyone else have a solution to adding them to the other tanks?

they might be alright, not sure if kribs eat their own... Ive heard of some people putting kribs in their community tanks though so you could try it but keep a close eye on them... good luck

i know it's not your question but....i have a pair of Kribs that were in my community tank and they acted like they were ready to spawn. i'm a noob but i thought they we protecting their little corner of the tank and there colors got bright and amazing!!! So I put thim in a 20H just them. All they do now is hide. the barely eat even. So i read to put some dither fish. So I added a couple of glow fish and a couple danios. They still won't come out. it's been about 2 weeks. Whats going on. if they have eggs when will i see babies?

what type of tank did you have them in and what tank did you put them in??? example: 20 long to 20 hex!!!

what is your water levels at???

2manytansk "So I put thim in a 20H just them." my guess would be you put them in a hex so if that is the case your water depth might be the probem... They might not be comfortable at that depth!!!

Just a guess, good luck
