the day before yesterday, the female finally went into the male's cave, and she would come out, then the male would come out and they would....dance around the opening of the cave, and then he would kind of push her back in. all yester day and today though, they've both been in the cave not really moving at all...this is what is supposed to happen?

sounds like its going good. if the female comes out but dad stays after then thy might be done.

yeah, I heard he kicks her out and he watches the eggs, but do they really tussle around like that?

3 days is the magic number, usually.

yeah they will he will kind of fight her into the cave. maybe wave his tail in her face. nudge her around. then she leaves and he wil stay rasing the babies alllll by himself.

haha, thanks guys, but it seems utterly motionless in there. i can see the males tail right by the opening, just kinda flappin, and I had to go get a flashlight to see the female all the way in the back. I guess I was expecting more movement or something.

and how much can I sell, say, 2-3 month old fry for?
or even 5 month fry?
I'm guessing 15 -20, and 35

if she in the front and hes not letting her out u know whats happening sound u will have eggs and fry soon i would say those prices seem fine. ill be in touch with u as i would love some

i wouldnt count your chickens too early. let them breed and get the fry going before you even begin to worry about selling them

this is their first time, who knows how it will even go

have u done any research on what to do after dad kicks the fry out? do u have a grow out tank?
