My breeding days are starting. I have been in the hobby for 7 years now. First now im actually TRYING to breed something. Well i have got tanks up for fry and all. But i am gonna work well on each batch.
So my plan was to breed Ancistrus Dolichopterus, Thorycthis Meeki and Cichlasoma Otofasciatum.

Ancistrus
I have got a very young pair up in a 30 gallon tank with one plant and one broken flowerpot. They have been doing well and are started to take a real good like in each other.

Firemouth
I have a male that i have kept for 3 months now, hes about 4". I recently purchased a female. There was a little chasing and has been and he isnt really gentle to his young girl. He is twice her size, they are in a 100g community im turning into a breeding tank for them and the depseys

Jack Dempsey
I have a 6" male i have been keeping for 3 months, just yesterday i purchased a female for him about 3". She may be Blue gene or something couse of the chin spreckeling goes all over and under her mouth. Well just minutes of inroducing her the male starts to shake for her and the other way, breeding tubes are showing clear on them both and there is definetly something going on. They are in the same tank as the Firemouths.

I will update after every move i or the fish make and you are welcome to comment.

Regards from Iceland.

Best of luck on your new venture!
Also I'm quite sure that there is no way to visually distinguish BGJDs from standard JDs.
Yes i know that, but i was just wondering where JDs got that colouration.

Well, the Jack Dempseys had theyre first spawn today. Hope this goes well.
