Breeding monster catfish - Let's see it!

This thread is for sharing information about breeding monster cats.

What monster cats have been bred? And how? If you have experience, or read some good articles, post 'em!

Please don't talk about hormonal injections, etc - I want to discuss ideas, and projects, and any successful breedings that have occurred, naturally.

So, with all the interest in monster cats, nobody has tried breeding any of them ? Odd.

It's not that nobody hasn't tried to breed them, but it is near impossible if you don't have the funds. I've read for rtc and tiger shovelnose an appropriate size tank just to keep them is 5,000 gallons. So you make the call regarding tank size for breeding.

I'm about to embark on a Hemibagrus breeding quest lol.

As soon as I get my female I'll be giving it my best shot!

AN aquarium in Europe has a breeding pair of rtc........Most of these big cats are bred in ponds...................Rumor is they dig onto the side of riverbanks, like alligator, and lay eggs........
