Hi guys.
I have a male double tail (DT) halfmoon. He is an imperfect butterfly. (Blue body, red finned). The red fins are 50% transparent and outlined with black.

I do have a female crowntail on hand. I was wondering if i had crossed these two, what type of offspring would be produced. If it'll be undesirable, i wont breed them. I've heard that "comb tails" can come from this pairing, but I've also heard that ugly tails can come from this. has anyone tried it?

My other option is to look for a halfmoon female with DT parents (making her have the geno type). This will make my offspring most likely be DT HM like the father. but obtaining a female like this is hard...

If there are any other suggestions, let me know.

If you cross the two and the double tail doesn't come out then you would get a comb tail. If not, a double comb tail or a double half moon. Any variety is possible at this moment.

Okay... comb tail.
well i figured out that all the fry will be doubleT carriers (f1 generation), so if i in bred them, the f2 generation will have doubleT traits present.
Double tail combtails?

Thanks guys.

Ive done all the reading online already. Thats why I am just asking for people's experience so i can compare the text and reality.

Maybe I can rephrase my question... Does anyone know any good betta breeders? Preferably around Milwaukee?
