Well i can tell you dudes year 2006 when i start my good habit. It was a mid of aug.06 two days before my flight to orlando,when i made my decition to bought of my first fish . Its called a KGM flowerhorn fish (king of golden monkey)coz many years my son ask me to buy this kind of fish. I dont know annything about on the fish that time and then when i came back home i was suprise the 2" KGM gruw n bloom but it was so sad coz he died 3 days after i came .but didnt stop my hob i met a very good man named danny and seld to me one of his best creation of flowerhorn .Golden pearl louhan (louhan stands for FH in chinese). But my son bought another 1 which is blue dragon FH on some local pet shop, but the fish it came to a very reputable breeder.And we got lucky coz somebody gave us a red dragon eventually get compatible with the BD MALE and the RD spawn multiply a hundreds n hundreds of fry.Now i have a 30 aquariums 4-75g 10-20g 2-35g 6-10g 4-5g 4-2.5g excluding 2-30g costumize 8 cubicle for grown up fry or juvy. Im still avide on the hoby . Hopully when i come back to my home ,start with monster fish alligator gar.3198------.
Breeding of a difficult fish is matter of luck and timing.

30 tanks! that's a lot of tanks. So there all filled with your FH fry. Would love to see some pictures of your fish room.

Yeah, I would love to see your tanks........Personally, if I had the rom you have with all those tanks, I would cut it down to showcase/breeder tanks and simple 55g growouts...............HOw many pairs you have????????One, two, three?????I would seperate each pair in a 100g breeder.....the fry of each tank in 55g growouts...............The size code of the 55g will make it more easy on the eye and in building a more effeicient room to house more tanks........I found that the more different in sizes of tanks you have in a room, the more congested, and not so uniform feel it might take after a awhile.......Then again, this is me thinking as a breeder.............

2. Put in the same tank 20 to 35 gallon but do not forget to put partition or divider glass or acrilic is okay.
3. Observed them for 1 to 2 weeks ,then realise the divider but need your present to see if their like each other if they bite there mouth its okey but not on the body or fin.
4.Remember mouth bite is okey then if you see their fighting then separate them again with divider 1to 2 weeks again reapit the proceedure untill they get to know each other. okay dudes see you next time for continuation. breeding a FH its not an easy task but if you succeed is a priceless feelings with you n your family . ROCK ON DUDES.
5. BACK TO TOPIC so when they show some interest to mate, you have pair of flowerhorn but if still foughting you should find another pair .Its like a try and error untill you succeed .
