Channa cf. andrao "Super red" was newly discovered local variation of C. andrao in early 2019.
I got a pair of them directly from my friend in India who running tropical fish exporting company in January 2019 and luckly, i successfully bred this species in April, 2018.

So this report was written in 2019 and possibly world first record.

Just like normal C. andrao, this species is also mouth breeder.
male contain eggs in his mouth till the eggs are hatched and it took approximately 3days.
Parents are kept with blood worms and tubifex in room temperature.
Lighting system was set by timer for natural photoperiodicity in assam state.

After eggs are hatched, parents move their baby to some kind of nest and in my case, he choose feeding plate.
The nest is to stop babys hanging around to far and not because it's closed.

Male was still use that feeding plate as a nest even after i wipe out all the alge on it and make it's wall transparent.

Just hatched frys don't have any color but they turn black and yellow color in 4~6 days and start swim.

After color of baby are fully changed, parents start carrying them to somewhere they can find foods for baby or feed rest of eggs they have.
this stage take around 15 more days.

After than, they turn to the color you saw in the pet shop.
